Why did I choose the major of Information Systems for my collage?

Before I explain my reasons, I will introduce myself first. My name is Rifqi Lutfi Dwi A, you guys can call me Lutfi. I was born in Depok in October 1996. I was the second of two childrens. I have 1 older sisters. I live in Depok with my Family. My dad worked as Policeman in Polresta Depok. 

In my childhood, I have the dream of becoming a pet because I love animals like cats and dogs. However, as I get older I do not know what I want. Then, I want to be an artist because I watch TV too much and I like to be in front of the camera. Then since junior high school, my desire has changed since I like to play computer, starting from playing games, trying various software on my computer till my computer errors, and also make simple video editing. Since then, I want to be someone who has the ability in the field of video editing.

At high school, I got to know a little about programming language and I got interested, However, over time I also interested in the world of psychology, journalism and design. I thought that I wanted to choose a major in psychology and communications at collage, but my father would not let me on the grounds that psychology was hard to get a job and journalistic was only temporary. How about design majors? I immadiately removed it from the list of collage choices because I was so bad in the art.

I was confused to choose the collage majors at that time. But I remember that my dad said "look for an easy college course to get a job such as computer, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or any engineering majors that are easy to find a job". After thinking long enough, in the end I choose the last option, the information system because of  my little interest in computers and programming languages, and one of my dreams that I think maybe I can be realize if I choose this major. And the other reason is because the major that I'm interested in doesn't get permission from my dad.

Finally, at the time of registration SNMPTN, I choose IPB, majoring in Civil Engineering and the University of Indonesia, majoring in information systems and bioprocess technology. Why I choose bioprocess technology? The reason is because I'm sure that I will not pass SNMPTN, and yes, I failed.

Then, my father suggested to go to Gundarma University, because I also get a scholarship there. And finally I choose and enrolled in Gunadarma University with major of Information System.

So, the reason I chose the major of information systems is because this is the last option I'm interested in after psychology and journalism and I also got a scholarship at Gunadarma University. While other reasons, because I dream to create a website or application that can be used by many people such as facebook, twitter and others. And also, because the major that I'm interested in doesn't get permission from my father.
